Established in 1962, Anthony Marquet Ltd (now trading as Marquet Trading Limited) is a New Zealand-owned company with diversified trading activities focused on adding value to all those primary products the company or its associated companies export.

• To maintain our traditional business with Europe, United Kingdom and North America as well as maximising the development of rapidly expanding Asian markets.
• To concentrate on 'added value' exports wherever possible.
• To specialise in export only except where bilateral import/export trading arrangements will benefit our export marketing.

Overview

Marquet Trading Ltd was established by the current Governing Director, Mr Tony Marquet. The company was then and still is a 100% New Zealand privately owned company.

The company's philosophy of 'adding value' has seen a diversification in recent years to a broader base of primary products. While wool trading and processing still retains an important role, we have affiliations with various companies specialising in the growing, processing, marketing and exporting a wide range of primary produce.

Selling greasy carpet wools to the United States was the forerunner to the company's eventual thrust into a global marketplace. These days, we have diversified into a multitude of product lines including the export of frozen meat and fish, pulse (peas and lentals), wines, cheeses and the importation of metals and processed foodstuffs.
